At Your Mercy

Your eyes are not eyes that rage;

They are the eyes that love.

Your lips are not lips that abuse;

They are the lips that praise.

Your hands are not hands that kill;

They are the hands that nurture.

Wear a mask, but you need not deceive;

The blistering fire you repress,

The crushing flood you restrain,

The screaming pain you muffle,

The gaping void you hold -

You are one with me.

Time shall accompany you on this journey;

Grief and mourning an ally each.

Tumultuous waves await ruthlessly;

Forgiveness you shall not seek.

For when you arrive with time,

Clemency you shall be.
